The method (500) performed by a control unit (122) of the vehicle (100) includes receiving (502) a signal to start the engine (118). The method includes determining (504) a battery-less condition of the vehicle (100) upon receipt of the signal to start the engine (118). The method includes starting (506) the engine (118) in a limited operation mode by an electronic throttle body (ETB) (132) based at least on determining the battery-less condition of the vehicle (100). The battery-less condition of the vehicle (100) is determined based on determining (506A) Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) associated with the engine (118) in a predefined time period (T). Further, determining (506C) the battery- less condition of the vehicle (100) if the RPM of the engine (118) exceeds a threshold value (R).
