Abstract: ABSTRACT VEHICLE-TO-VEHICLE CHARGING USING BUCK-BOOST CONVERTER The present disclosure provides a system for vehicle-to-vehicle charging between electric vehicles. The system includes a first electric vehicle including a first traction battery and a second electric vehicle including a second traction battery, and a bidirectional DC-DC converter configured to operate in charging or discharging modes to transfer energy between the two batteries. One or more sensing circuits monitor battery voltages and charging or discharging current associated with the converter. The system includes a controller that compares sensed voltages or state-of- charge (SOC) values of the traction batteries and determines a direction of energy transfer based on voltage difference, SOC difference, or a predefined charging priority. The controller generates pulse-width-modulation (PWM) control signals to regulate converter operation accordingly. The system provides safe, efficient, and intelligent V2V charging for emergency recovery, energy assistance, and cooperative power sharing between electric vehicles.
