Inventors include Prof. Dr. Ruchi Lal; Prof. Dr. Asha Verma; Dr. Superna Venaik; and Dr. Aaratrika Pandey.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A vehicle collision prevention and occupant safety system, comprising an AI camera 101 to continuously detect, classify, and track surrounding vehicles, pedestrians, and road objects, and to transmit real time positional and trajectory data to the system for collision prevention, an end to end collision detection module synchronized with a reinforcement learning (RL) module, to estimate relative speed, distance, and trajectory of nearby vehicles, generate collision probability scores, an impact resistant units comprising an airbag 106 connected to a nitrogen cylinder 107 comprising a pump 109 that deliver nitrogen gas into the airbag 106 through conduits 108 for instantaneous inflation and controlled deployment during high collision probability scores, an internal condition monitoring module comprising a plurality of gas sensors 301 operatively synchronized with an artificial neural network (ANN) protocol, to detect hazardous gases, classify the gases as flammable or non flammable, and generate alerts via a buzzer 303 and a visual warning on vehicle display.
