Abstract: The present disclosure provides a vehicle cabin intrusion detection system and method thereof. The system 100 and method 500 include a plurality of sensors 102, a processing unit 104, a communication interface 108, a telematics unit 110, and a memory 106 to perform many tasks. The plurality of sensors 102 mounted on a plurality of locations inside a vehicle cabin 112 to detect changes in an infrared radiation. The processing unit 104 is communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors 102 to analyze the detected changes in the infrared radiation to identify an intrusion event inside the vehicle cabin 112. Further, the communication interface 108 is configured with the processing unit 104 for reporting the intrusion event over a Controller Area Network (CAN) and the telematics unit 110 is configured with the communication interface 108 to send a plurality of real-time alerts to a user.
