Abstract: Title: Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP)-loaded ROS-Responsive Nano Hydrogel for Diabetic Wound Management A ROS-responsive Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide nano hydrogel formulation for treatment of a diabetic wound comprising; a biodegradable and biocompatible hydrogel matrix; a plurality of biodegradable nanoparticles dispersed within the hydrogel matrix; and at least one ROS-responsive linker incorporated within the hydrogel matrix; wherein the hydrogel matrix is configured to undergo ROS-induced degradation or network destabilization at the diabetic wound site to release the Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide-loaded nanoparticles. The nano hydrogel formulation, wherein the hydrogel matrix comprises at least one of chitosan, hyaluronic acid, polyethylene glycol, gelatin polymers. 1. The nano hydrogel formulation, wherein the hydrogel matrix further comprises 1–3% w/v of chitosan, hyaluronic acid is of 0.5–3% w/v, PEG is of 5–20% w/v, Gelatin is of 2–10% w/v. The nano hydrogel formulation, wherein the ROS-responsive linker comprises atleast one of a thioketal linker and a boronic ester linker. FIG.1A
