The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a variable-baseline optical triangulation measuring system (100) and method (300) for non-contact dimensional measurement of a target object (116). The system (100) comprises a laser optical triangulation device housing (102), laser projection unit (104), angular actuation assembly (106), microcontroller unit (108), distance sensing unit (110), output display (112), and power supply unit (114). The laser projection unit (104) projects a projected laser beam (118) toward the target object (116), and the distance sensing unit (110) acquires distance measurements along a sensing path or measurement line (120). The angular actuation assembly (106) varies angular positioning through a servo-driven gear mechanism. The microcontroller unit (108) receives angular displacement data and distance measurement data, computes a dimension using optical triangulation geometry and known baseline parameters, and displays the computed measurement on the output display (112) in real time.
