MUMBAI, India, June 19 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411088248 A) filed by Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz Private Limited on November 14, 2024, for Vanishing Point Detection System For A Vehicle And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Bhomik Luthra; Harry Lal; Anuj Kapuria; and Nishant Kejriwal.
The application for the patent was published on June 05, 2026, under issue no. 23/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a vanishing point detection system100 for a vehicle and method300 thereof. The system100 includes an image capturing unit102, a processor104, and a memory106. The image-capturing unit102 captures a plurality of images to identify a plurality of vanishing points in a region of interest(ROI) and the memory106 stores the plurality of identified vanishing points. The processor104 analyzes the stored plurality of identified vanishing points to find a first variation between the plurality of identified vanishing points to fix a current vanishing point in the ROI, retrieves a corresponding historical data of the current vanishing point, and compares it with the fixed current vanishing point to calculate a second variation, determines a final vanishing point based on the calculated second variation to either, store the current vanishing point as the final vanishing point or, mark the current vanishing point as the historical data.
