Abstract: A network entity, for example a location management function (LMF), may transmit a first configuration to validate a positioning model. A user equipment (UE) may receive the first configuration to validate the positioning model. The UE may receive a set of positioning signals. The UE may measure the set of positioning signals based on the first configuration. The UE may obtain a set of positioning model outputs based on the measured set of positioning signals and the first configuration. The UE may transmit a validation report based on the set of positioning model outputs and the first configuration. The network entity may receive the validation report. The validation report may include at least one of a first indicator that the positioning model is valid or a second indicator of a set of positioning model outputs based on the first configuration.
