Abstract: The present invention relates to a vacuum-assisted system designed for the development of latent fingerprints on porous surfaces, utilizing a combination of mechanical and chemical processes. The system features a downward-facing print surface positioned at the top to leverage gravity for the even distribution of chemicals, supported by a plurality of vacuum tubes that create a pressure differential to remove dust and debris. Chemical reservoirs containing amido black and ninhydrin are connected to a controlled spraying mechanism, while heating rods provide controlled heat to accelerate chemical reactions. A centrally located microcontroller automates the sequence and timing of vacuuming, chemical spraying, and heating, ensuring precision and reducing manual intervention. The system also includes an eco-friendly dust and waste collection system to safely collect dust and chemical waste. The compact and lightweight design, equipped with a handle, facilitates easy transport, making it suitable for field use.
