MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611056751 A) filed by Sharda University on May 04, 2026, for Vacancy-Profiled Zinc Oxide Photocatalyst Preparation Apparatus.
Inventors include Dr. Mohit Sahni; Dr. Munendra Singh; Dr. Babita Tripathi; and Dr. Soumya Pandit.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a vacancy-profiled zinc oxide photocatalyst preparation apparatus for producing oxygen-vacancy-regulated zinc oxide nanostructures. The apparatus comprises a reaction vessel adapted to receive a zinc precursor medium and a pH-adjusting medium, a sequenced dosing assembly operatively connected to the reaction vessel and configured to introduce the zinc precursor medium according to a selected addition order and rate profile, and a pH-trajectory regulation assembly coupled with the reaction vessel and configured to vary pH through plural set points during precursor conversion. An isolated drying chamber is positioned downstream of the reaction vessel to maintain a selected drying atmosphere around a zinc-containing intermediate. A staged thermal conditioning chamber is positioned downstream of the isolated drying chamber to apply a first thermal zone and a second thermal zone under selected atmosphere exposure for generating a surface-biased oxygen-vacancy profile in a zinc oxide product.
