Abstract: A utensil gripping and lifting assistive device, comprising of a frame 101 gripped by a user to position a plate 102 configured with frame 101 in contact with a utensil, an imaging unit 103 installed over frame 101 to determines dimensions of utensil, strips 104 configured with plate 102 and interconnected by hinge joints 105 to regulate shape of plate 102 in accordance with detected dimensions, a suction unit 106 is installed with each of strip to create a negative pressure to affix plate 102, a L- shaped extendable flap 107 configured with frame 101 to extend in accordance with detected dimensions and position beneath utensil to provide support, a microphone 108 mapped over frame 101 to receive voice command of user regarding covering of the utensil, a robotic link 109 installed over frame 101 to provide movement to a circular member 110 configured with the link to cover utensil.
