MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621072223 A) filed by Gokul Global University on June 10, 2026, for Utensil Grip Refurbishment Device.
Inventor includes Kiran D. Parmar.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A utensil grip refurbishment device, comprising a platform 101, a utensil loading means to securely hold utensils of varying shapes and sizes without causing surface damage, a handle analysis unit to capture a three-dimensional profile of a worn handle to detect surface defects and contamination along with detecting surface roughness and wear patterns, a grip conditioning unit to uniformly thermally expand the rubber grips without material degradation, an air management means to ensure uniform temperature distribution and maintain optimal moisture conditions during grip heating, a grip transfer unit to grip a heated rubber grip from an inner surface, a lubrication unit to apply a metered quantity of food-grade lubricant onto the utensil handle, thereby reducing friction while preserving grip adhesion, and a grip installation assembly to detect a leading edge of the grip, progressively release the grip for installation.
