The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for user equipment mobility handling in the presence of Fixed Wireless Access cells in a radio access network A user equipment (UE) identifies a target cell for cell reselection and determines whether the UE is a FWA UE or a non-FWA UE based on subscriber information for the UE or a mobility state of the UE. The UE, based on determining it is a non-FWA UE, determines whether the target cell is a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) cell or a non-FWA cell, based on determining that the target cell is a non-FWA cell, the UE accesses (e.g., reselects to) the target cell, and based on determining that the target cell is a FWA cell, determines whether an override condition is met, and based on determining the override condition is met, the accesses the FWA cell; based on determining the override condition is not met, the UE identifies a new target cell. Otherwise, the UE, based on determining that it is a FWA UE, accesses the target cell.
