Abstract: Thus there is provided an apparatus for reduction of a risk of a collision between a first user and a second user, the apparatus being located in a vicinity of the first user and arranged to cooperate with a second apparatus in the vicinity of the second user. The apparatus comprises a first transceiver, being arranged to exchange first and second messages with a second transceiver comprised in the second apparatus, a first processor operationally coupled to the first transceiver. The transceiver is operationally coupled to at least two antennae, the at least two antennae being spatially separated. The first processor is arranged to communicate with the second processor via the first transceiver and the first processor is arranged to cause the first transceiver to participate with the second transceiver in making a first measurement, using the messages, the first measurement comprising a distance value, the distance value representing a distance between the first and second users, and an angle value, the angle value representing an angle of arrival (AoA) of the second message, the second message coming from the second transceiver and obtain, based on the first measurement and a velocity of the first apparatus, an estimate of a possible collision between the first and second users and communicate at least one selected from the group of the estimate and the first measurement to the second processor. The apparatus is arranged to provide to and/or receive from the second apparatus, an antenna separation information and negotiate that the apparatus with the greater antenna separation provides the angle value. A corresponding method is also provided.
