Abstract: The titled invention discloses an urban transportation and traffic management system designed to monitor, predict, and control traffic flow in urban areas using real-time loT integration and adaptive control mechanisms. The system comprises an loT sensor network (1) including traffic camera units (2), vehicle detection sensors (3), speed monitoring unit (4), and weather monitoring system (5) for collecting real-time data. An edge computing unit (6) processes the data locally, which is further analyzed by an Al processing unit (7) to predict traffic conditions. A traffic signal control unit (8) dynamically adjusts signal timing based on the analyzed data. A communication network system (9) connects all components with a central control system (10) for overall monitoring. An emergency vehicle detection unit (11) provides priority movement, and a user interface display system (12) presents system information. The invention provides continuous traffic monitoring and adaptive control, helping to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow in urban environments. Figure-1
