Abstract: An upper limb supporting and resting assistive device, comprises of a curved-shaped body 101 constructed with plurality of curved-shaped extendable plates 102,, a strap 103 for securing body 101 with user’s waist portion, an imaging unit 104 to detect dimensions of user’s waist portion, plurality of motorized hinges 105 for securing body 101 around user’s waist portion, a curved-shaped flap 106 installed with the body 101 via an L-shaped telescopically operated link 107 for providing a stable base for allowing user to rest injured hand, a microphone 108 for enabling user to give voice commands for supporting injured hand, an inflatable member 109 to provide comfort to the user’s hand, a thermal camera 110 to monitor presence of strain, a vibration unit to produce vibration of a pre-defined intensity in view of providing relief to the user, and a speaker 111 to notify the user regarding corrective hand posture.
