Inventor includes Manjunath Channappagoudra.

Abstract: An upper body posture maintaining device, comprising of a wearable body 101 developed to be worn by a user over a torso region of his/her body and configured with a pair of straps 102 at its lower portion to lock with a hook 103 attached on the body 101, to secure body 101 over the torso region, a touch interactive display panel 104 to provide input command regarding activation of the device, an inflating unit to inflate multiple inflatable members 106 to secure the body 101 over the user’s torso region in an appropriate manner, a plate 107 for providing support to back portion of the user in order to correct posture of the user’s back, a pair of motorized grippers 108 for gripping the shoulder portion of the user, and an electromyography (EMG) sensor for evaluating and recording electrical activity produced by muscles of user’s torso region.
