MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647085031 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy on July 10, 2026, for Uplink Transmissions In Cellular Communication Networks.

Inventors include Tervo, Oskari; Tiirola, Esa Tapani; Renfors, Markku; Hooli, Kari Juhani Number; and Valkama, Mikko.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a method comprising obtaining a time-domain allocation for an uplink transmission, the time-domain allocation indicating a number of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing, OFDM, symbols individually comprising a cyclic prefix part and a payload part, reducing a number of time samples of a cyclic prefix part of an OFDM symbol of the number of OFDM symbols by a first number of time samples to yield a second number of time samples for the cyclic prefix part of the OFDM symbol, determining values for the first number of time samples for enhancement of a time- domain waveform of the uplink transmission, and performing the uplink transmission according to the time-domain allocation and based at least in part on the values for the first time samples.
