Abstract: UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE–BASED DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM AND METHOD The present disclosure relates to an unmanned aerial vehicle- based digital radiography system (100) for acquiring radiographic images at remote or otherwise inaccessible locations. The system (100) includes an unmanned aerial vehicle platform (102) carrying a digital radiography assembly (104), a navigation and control module (120), an onboard processing system (140), a power-supply and energy-management module (144), and a communication module (132). The digital radiography assembly (104) includes an X-ray generation arrangement (106) having an X-ray source (108) and a wireless digital detector (114) positionable relative to a subject. The navigation and control module (120) controls positioning and stabilization of the platform (102), while the onboard processing system (140) performs image processing and artificial intelligence-assisted image assessment. The communication module (132) securely transmits acquired image data to a remote teleradiology infrastructure (152) for radiologist review. Fig. 1
