Abstract: ABSTRACT UNIVERSAL ADJUSTABLE OPTICAL VIEWING ATTACHMENT FOR ELECTRONIC DISPLAYS AND VISION TESTING INSTRUMENTS The present disclosure relates to a universal adjustable optical viewing attachment removably mountable to electronic displays and ophthalmic testing instruments. The attachment includes a support frame, a variable-power optical lens assembly, an optical-power adjustment mechanism, a reconfigurable mounting assembly, a calibration indicator, and a locking mechanism. The mounting assembly positions an adjustable optical window in a viewing path between a user and a host viewing surface. Optical power is varied independently of the host device and a selected setting is indicated and retained for repeatable use. The lens assembly may employ sliding, rotating, fluid-filled, Alvarez, liquid-crystal, electrically tunable, variable-curvature, or mechanically displaced optical elements. Embodiments include independently adjustable eye-viewing zones and optional stored user presets. The attachment can be transferred among televisions, computers, mobile devices, vehicle displays, digital panels, and visual test targets while retaining the same adjustable optical module.
