Abstract: ABSTRACT UNIQUE DUCT DESIGN OF ROTOR END PLATE TO AVOID DEGRADATION AND DEMAGNETIZATION The present invention relates to a rotor assembly for a permanent magnet 5 synchronous motor, incorporating a rotor stack 102 formed of laminated sheets and defining axial slots housing a plurality of permanent magnets 104. The rotor assembly further includes rotor end plates 202 coupled to axial ends of the rotor stack 102, each end plate segmented to disrupt current paths and integrated with ducts positioned adjacent to the permanent magnets 104. The rotor assembly further 10 includes one or more ducts 302 are configured to suppress induction of unwanted currents and to provide convective cooling, thereby reducing I²R heating and maintaining magnet temperatures within rated limits. The permanent magnets 104 may further include a supplemental zinc coating to prevent corrosion and oxidation. The invention mitigates demagnetization and degradation, ensuring improved 15 efficiency, reliability, and extended operational life of the rotor assembly
