Abstract: The present invention relates to a unified voltage mode control system (100) for regulating output voltage in DC-DC boost converters used in photovoltaic (PV) power conversion systems. The system comprises a photovoltaic source (101), a DC-DC boost converter or high-gain boost converter (102), a voltage sensing unit (103), a reference voltage generator (104), an error generation unit (105), a proportional-integral (PI) or proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller (106), a pulse width modulation (PWM)generation unit (107), and a switching driver (108). The controller parameters are analytically determined using a moments-matching technique based on direct matching of Maclaurin series coefficients of an actual closed-loop transfer function with a reference closed-loop model, and further incorporate a maximum sensitivity (MS) parameter for robustness tuning. The disclosed topology-independent control framework enables application across conventional and quadratic boost converters without controller redesign, providing improved transient response, enhanced robustness, and reliable output voltage regulation.
