Abstract: ABSTRACT SMART POT SYSTEM WITH FOG-BASED PLANT MONITORING A smart pot system (100) comprises a plant pot (110) containing a growing medium and plant specimen, a load cell (120) beneath the plant pot (110) measuring biomass weight, and a load cell amplifier (122) generating a digitised biomass signal. The system includes a soil moisture sensor (130), a temperature and humidity sensor (132), and a light intensity sensor (134). A first microcontroller (140) collects telemetry data from the sensors. An imaging module (150) with a camera (152) and second microcontroller (154) captures plant images. A fog node (160) receives telemetry data and images via wireless communication and comprises a biomass anomaly classifier (162) configured to detect rapid decreases in biomass indicative of pest activity, a disease classifier (164), an irrigation predictor (166) configured to output a recommended water quantity, and a growth forecasting module (168). A real-time database (180) stores data packets from the fog node (160), and a web-based dashboard (190) displays data from the real-time database (180).
