Abstract: The present invention relates to a unified inlet–outlet pipe connector with an integrated flow diffuser (100) for an electric storage water heater. The connector comprises an integrally formed unit having a circular flange (102), a water inlet (104), and a water outlet (106) insulated from each other, and a threadable/ribbed section (108) for mounting to a tank (300). The water inlet (104) includes an integrally formed notch (118) and a spreader (110) with a plurality of circumferential openings (112) configured to convert axial inflow into a distributed radial flow pattern prior to entry into the tank. This enables controlled discharge of water at a lower region, reducing turbulence and minimizing mixing of hot and cold water to maintain a narrower thermocline layer. The connector eliminates separate diffuser components, reduces assembly complexity, and provides a compact, cost-effective solution with improved thermal stratification and efficiency.
