The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT UNCERTAINTY-AWARE EVIDENCE-GUIDED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF DAMAGED INSCRIPTION TEXT A computer-implemented method for reconstructing damaged inscription text is provided. The method comprises receiving inscription data (116) comprising text with damaged regions and associated metadata, classifying each damaged region by a damage taxonomy module (104), and generating candidate reconstructions using a byte-level adaptive reconstruction module (106) comprising a frozen backbone and a metadata-selected low-rank script adapter. A cross-inscription evidence graph module (108) retrieves historical evidence linking inscriptions to dynasties, named individuals, locations, script types, and formulaic patterns. An evidence-weighted confidence calibration engine (110) computes a calibrated confidence score combining model confidence with evidence-based features. An evidence-gated abstention module (112) evaluates gating criteria comprising a confidence gate, a corroboration gate, and a graph evidence gate, outputting reconstructed text when all gates are satisfied or an abstention indication identifying failed gates.
