MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511023207 A) filed by Sanskriti University on March 15, 2025, for Typing Assistive Device.

Inventors include Dharmendra Pal Sharma; and Bhawana Saraswat.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A typing assistive device comprises of a rectangular base 101 having a plurality of suction cups 102 for affixing onto a surface, a cushioned U-shaped curved plate 103 attached on the base 101 by means of a telescopic rod 104 having primary ball and socket joints 105 to enable adjusting curvature of the plate 103 as per curvature of wrist of a user, plurality of L-shaped telescopic links 107 attached, by means of secondary ball and socket joints, on sliding units 108 installed along the plate 103, for pressing keys of a keyboard positioned in front of the base, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 109, installed on the base 101 works in synchronization with an OCR to determine printed characters to be typed, and a microphone 111 provided on the base 101 for user input regarding installing typing of characters from a printed matter.
