The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT TURNTABLE OF A CONTINUOUSLY ROTATING RADAR ANTENNA HAVING UNDER SLUNG OIL SUBMERGED GEAR BOX Disclosed is a turntable (100) for rotating a radar antenna (102), that includes a static structure (2), a main gear box (3) submerged in the lubricating oil of an oil sump (4), two drive assemblies (20), each includes a driving pinion (5), submerged in the oil and meshing with the inner ring (24) of the main gear box. The main gear box (3) is attached by connecting the outer ring (26) to the static structure (2). The inner ring (24) is rotatably mounted. The driving pinions (5) engage the gear teeth (44) of the main gear box (3), rotating the inner ring (24) simultaneously in opposite directions. The rotary structure (9), connected to the inner ring (24) via a cylindrical ring (10), holds the radar antenna (102). The method of operation of the turntable which improves performance and reduces maintenance downtime in radar systems, is also disclosed. Figure 1 will be the reference.
