MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110082 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on September 14, 2026, for Trust-Coupled Coordination System For Federated Digital Twin Nodes.
Inventors include Raviteja Buddala; and Shivani Jogiya.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT TRUST-COUPLED COORDINATION SYSTEM FOR FEDERATED DIGITAL TWIN NODES A coordination system (100) includes digital twin nodes (110a, 110b) of independently administered physical systems connected over a network, each governing sensors (112) and actuators (114) and maintaining an undisclosed internal model (116). A trust engine (120) receives negotiated observable-channel parameters (122) from a peer digital twin node, generates predictions of observations, calculates a prediction-error statistic (124), and updates a peer-specific trust value (126). The peer-specific trust value (126) modifies a composition weight for conditional response objects (132) at a coordination medium (130), a criticality weighting entering a freshness allocation by a freshness scheduler (140), and eligibility and renewability of an actuation lease (152) at an authority arbiter (150). The per-link staleness contract (142) allocated by the freshness scheduler (140) upper-bounds revocation latency of the conditional response objects (132). A failure choreographer (160) measures a reconciliation divergence (164) after a communication-failure episode as input to a subsequent trust value update. (Fig. 1)
