MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641126790 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on October 24, 2026, for Trust-Aware Adaptive Artificial Intelligence System For Cervical Colposcopy Image Classification And Evidence-Grounded Clinical Decision Support.

Inventors include Rohith R; and Kalaiselvi N.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A trust-aware adaptive artificial intelligence system (108) for analyzing a cervical colposcopy image is provided. The system (108) includes a processor (110) and a memory (112) storing instructions executable by the processor (110). The processor (110) determines an image quality score and a degradation condition, selects a direct processing path or a degradation-specific enhancement path, and extracts multi-level feature representations using a neural network. Conditioning information based on the image quality score and degradation condition is applied for quality- and degradation-conditioned attention-based feature modulation, followed by multi- scale feature fusion and quality-conditioned gating. The processor (110) classifies the image into CIN0, CIN1, or CIN2_3, determines prediction-reliability information, and generates a trust score and trust tier using an attention-based trust aggregation network. Based on the classification and trust information, the processor (110) determines an evidence retrieval strategy, retrieves clinical evidence from a clinical knowledge base (114), and generates an evidence-grounded clinical decision- support response or report.
