MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511010996 A) filed by Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research on February 10, 2025, for Trisubstituted Furans, Conjugated Sulfoxonium Ylides As An Intermediates And Process For The Preparation Thereof.
Inventors include Sudhir Rama Ingale; Manas Ranjan Sahu; and Ravindar Kontham.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process to prepare trisubstituted furan compound of formula I as final product, which has application further in preparation of natural products and APIs. Also, the invention relates to a vinyl sulfoxonium ylides based intermediate compound of formula II, which ultimately can be converted into Formula I. Further, the present invention also relates to a process of preparation of said compounds of formula II.
