MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611079464 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on June 27, 2026, for Triple-Responsive Biomimetic Nanozyme–hydrogel System For Chronic Diabetic Wound Healing.

Abstract: The present invention provides a triple-responsive biomimetic nanozyme-hydrogel system for the management of chronic diabetic wounds. The system comprises copper-cerium doped poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanozyme particles of 150 to 200 nanometres diameter, exhibiting superoxide-dismutase, catalase and glucose- oxidase mimic activities, and encapsulating a standardised Casimiroa edulis ethanolic leaf extract enriched in tetramethylscutellarein and rutin. The said particles are dispersed within a dynamically crosslinked carboxymethyl chitosan-oxidised hyaluronic acid hydrogel matrix bearing phenylboronate-ester, Schiff-base imine and thioketal linkages that respond independently to elevated glucose, mildly acidic pH and elevated reactive oxygen species, releasing the extract proportionally to wound severity while the nanozyme catalytically reprograms the wound microenvironment in a closed positive-feedback loop.
