Abstract: The present invention discloses TrimGuard, a protective rubber cap intended exclusively for dental laboratory use to protect cylindrical dental implant components during handling, storage, transport, and laboratory procedures. The cap is fabricated from a resilient elastomeric material and is dimensioned to securely fit over implant components such as abutments, healing caps, impression copings, and implant analogs. TrimGuard functions to prevent surface scratching, deformation, chipping, and mechanical damage that may occur during trimming, polishing, adjustment, or contact with other components in the laboratory environment. The cap is easily attachable and removable without the use of tools and may be provided in multiple sizes to accommodate different implant systems. The invention improves component protection, maintains dimensional accuracy, and enhances efficiency in dental laboratory workflows.
