Abstract: ABSTRACT TRIBOELECTRIC NANOGENERATOR USING HYDROCHAR AND SILICONE WASTE FOR ENERGY HARVESTING A triboelectric nanogenerator device for energy harvesting comprises a positive triboelectric layer comprising a hydrochar film, wherein the hydrochar film comprises hydrothermally carbonized chrome tanned leather shavings mixed with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The triboelectric nanogenerator device comprises a negative triboelectric layer comprising a silicone film derived from silicone waste scraps. The triboelectric nanogenerator device comprises a housing structure, wherein the positive triboelectric layer and the negative triboelectric layer are attached to inner surfaces of the housing structure facing each other in a vertical contact-separation mode configuration. The triboelectric nanogenerator device comprises a first electrode attached to an outer side of the positive triboelectric layer and a second electrode attached to an outer side of the negative triboelectric layer. The triboelectric nanogenerator device comprises electric wires connected to the first electrode and the second electrode to carry electric charges generated during contact-separation cycles.
