Abstract: The present invention discloses the treatment of alcohol related liver disease by leaf extracts of Artemisia vestita. The method of extracting bioactive compounds from the leaves of Artemisia vestita as a therapeutic agent for alcohol-induced liver disease (ALD) comprises extraction process, composition and bioactive compounds, mechanism of action and safety and efficacy. Utilizing Artemisia vestita leaf extract offers a promising alternative for treating alcohol-induced liver disease. Artemisia vestita is a plant recognized for its medicinal benefits, containing bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, and terpenoids. These compounds are believed to offer hepatoprotective effects through various mechanisms antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory properties, promotion of regeneration, and metabolic regulation. The extract addresses several pathways involved in ALD, offering a comprehensive treatment strategy rather than focusing on a single target. Being a plant- based extract, it can be cultivated and harvested sustainably, making it a viable option for wider populations.
