Abstract: Provided is a travel-type tube conveyor which is difficult to break, less likely to malfunction, and is inexpensive. The travel-type tube conveyor comprises a feeder tube 10, travel devices 20, paired arrival detection units 30, and a control unit 40. The paired arrival detection units 30 comprise first detection units 31 and second detection units 32 that are configured to be able to detect arrival of a first travel unit 21 and a second travel unit 22 and are arranged at corresponding positions at prescribed intervals not exceeding the limit value of the travel-distance difference between the first travel unit 21 and the second travel unit 22 in the traveling direction of the travel devices 20. Upon detection of arrival of the first travel unit 21 by a given first detection unit 31N, the control unit 40 stops the traveling of the first travel unit 21 until a given second detection unit 32N which is arranged at a corresponding position detects arrival of the second travel unit 22, and performs travel control on the travel devices 20 so that the travel-distance difference between the first travel unit 21 and the second travel unit 22 does not exceed the limit value.
