Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based intelligent travel planning and assistance platform designed to provide personalized travel recommendations, optimized itineraries, real-time travel guidance, local-user connectivity, travel preparation assistance, and emergency support for users visiting unfamiliar destinations. The proposed platform receives travel information such as destination, duration, budget, and user interests, including cultural, traditional, romantic, food-oriented, and other preference categories. The system processes these inputs and generates a personalized travel plan containing recommended destinations, activities, travel sequences, and suggested visiting periods. The platform further integrates map, traffic, location, and weather information to determine suitable visiting times. Traffic conditions and estimated travel durations are analyzed together with weather conditions and destination-related contextual information so that the system can recommend periods with comparatively lower congestion and suitable environmental conditions. A local connection module enables travelers to discover and communicate with local users through text communication and optional in-application calling without requiring direct exchange of personal telephone numbers. Local users can provide destination-specific recommendations and practical guidance based on their knowledge of the area. Where an appropriate local user is unavailable, the AI travel assistant provides virtual local-guide functionality. The invention also provides access to external official booking services for bus, train, and air travel. The platform does not presently process booking payments directly; instead, users are redirected to corresponding external or official booking websites. In addition, the system generates travel checklists containing required items, recommended actions, destination-specific precautions, and things to avoid. Emergency assistance and alert functionality further supports travelers during their journey. The proposed platform combines personalized planning, contextual data analysis, AI assistance, local human interaction, external travel booking access, preparation guidance, and emergency support within a unified travel assistance environment.
