MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621063227 A) filed by Bangla Corporation on May 19, 2026, for Transparent Beverage With Suspended Edible Silver Flakes And Method Of Preparation Thereof.
Inventor includes Fatani Asif Mohmed Husen.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a clear beverage containing edible metallic flakes, particularly silver flakes, using a non-degradative two-part dosing system. The invention addresses limitations of conventional processes wherein metallic flakes are damaged due to shear forces during bulk mixing. A base beverage is prepared using a synergistic stabilizing system comprising gellan gum, konjac gum, calcium carbonate, and sodium citrate, providing low viscosity and suspension capability. Separately, a metallic flake suspension is prepared and introduced into filled containers through a post-filling dosing process, thereby preserving flake integrity and visual appeal. The method ensures uniform suspension of flakes without sedimentation while maintaining clarity of the beverage. The invention further provides flexibility in filling sequences and improved industrial scalability. The resulting beverage exhibits enhanced stability, aesthetic quality, and shelf life, making it suitable for commercial production and consumption applications.
