Abstract: ABSTRACT TRANSMISSION CASING FOR A VEHICLE Present invention provides a transmission casing (100) for a vehicle. The transmission casing (100) comprises a housing (102) adapted to accommodate one or more transmission components (100a). The housing (102) comprises a first portion (104) adapted to receive an input shaft from a prime mover of the vehicle and a second portion (106) disposed at a distance from the first position (104). The second portion (106) is adapted to support an axle shaft (118) of one or more wheels. An insert (108) comprising a body portion (108a) is mounted on the second portion (106) of the housing (102). A shaft support portion (108b) extends from the body portion (108a) and is adapted to support the axle shaft (118) of the one or more wheels.
