Abstract: Abstract Traffic Management System For Emergency Vehicle (Ambulance) and Method Thereof The present invention relates to an intelligent traffic management system for prioritizing emergency ambulances at traffic intersections. The system employs one or more traffic surveillance cameras to capture real-time traffic images, which are processed using a convolutional neural network (CNN) trained to detect the presence of an ambulance based on visual features. Upon detection, a decision and priority control unit dynamically overrides normal traffic signal operation to provide a green signal in the direction of the ambulance, thereby enabling uninterrupted passage through the intersection. After the ambulance clears the intersection, the system automatically restores normal signal timing. The proposed solution is non-intrusive, scalable, and cost-effective, as it does not require any additional hardware installation in emergency vehicles and leverages existing surveillance infrastructure, making it suitable for smart city traffic management applications.
