The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: TRAFFIC-AWARE SD-WAN POLICY AUTOMATION SYSTEM ABSTRACT A Traffic-Aware SD-WAN Policy Automation System adapts software-defined wide area network behavior according to measured traffic conditions and declared intent. SD-WAN edge appliances forward application flows and provide demand, path, tunnel, capability, and enforcement telemetry to a telemetry collection layer. A traffic-state processor correlates the telemetry by site, application class, transport, and time. An intent repository supplies service objectives, priorities, security constraints, cost limits, device capabilities, and deployment guardrails. A policy decision engine generates a candidate forwarding or quality-of-service policy from the traffic state and intent. A policy validator checks conflicts, feasibility, resource availability, and constraints before enforcement. A deployment orchestrator assigns a version and distributes the validated policy through a staged rollout while preserving a preceding version. A feedback monitor compares post-deployment indicators with acceptance criteria and causes retention, expansion, adjustment, rollout suspension, or rollback, thereby providing consistent, traffic-responsive, and reversible SD-WAN policy control across sites and transport links.
