Abstract: The present invention relates to a non-therapeutic topical cosmetic composition for enhancing the appearance of skin tone, firmness, and smoothness in postpartum abdominal skin. The composition comprises a synergistic combination of (i) at least one film-forming cosmetic tightening agent selected from polysaccharide-based materials such as pullulan and acacia gum, configured to provide an immediate visible tightening and smoothing effect; (ii) at least one cosmetic contour-support active comprising caffeine, optionally in free or structured-delivery form, adapted to provide progressive improvement in the appearance of skin firmness upon repeated use; and (iii) at least one skin-conditioning and tone-support active comprising niacinamide and a botanical extract selected from Centella asiatica, configured to improve tone uniformity, hydration, and surface smoothness. The composition further comprises a cosmetically acceptable carrier system, preferably in the form of an oil-in- water or lamellar emulsion, providing enhanced spreadability, dermal compatibility, and a non-greasy sensory profile suitable for routine application and abdominal massage. The invention provides a dual-performance cosmetic approach combining immediate perceptible tightening with sustained improvement in skin appearance. The composition is specifically adapted for postpartum abdominal skin and is substantially free of retinoids and therapeutic slimming agents, thereby ensuring safe and regular cosmetic use. The invention also relates to a cosmetic method of improving the appearance of postpartum abdominal skin by topically applying the composition one or more times daily over a period sufficient to achieve visible enhancement in firmness, tone, smoothness, hydration, and overall skin quality.
