Owing to their favorable characteristics such as biocompatibility, biodegradability, acceptable mechanical characteristics, abundance, and ease of processing biomedical polymers are widely used in 3D printing for biomedical applications, including tissue engineering, drug delivery, biosensors and wound healing. leverages biological principles to create highly accurate, patient-specific dental restorations like crowns, bridges, and dentures by utilizing digital scans to design precise 3D models, which are then printed using biocompatible materials, allowing for improved fit, function, and aesthetics while minimizing chair time and enhancing treatment planning accuracy in various dental procedures, including orthodontics, implantology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. 3D printing technology is one of the latest developments in the fields of manufacturing technology. It was earlier developed as rapid prototyping machine to cut down product development time. But currently it is evolving as an alternative manufacturing method to traditional manufacturing process.
