Abstract: The present invention discloses the development and evaluation of a synergistic polyherbal formulation intended for the regulation and normalization of thyroid gland disorders, including both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Thyroid dysfunction is a major endocrine disorder worldwide, and long-term dependence on synthetic hormonal therapy often leads to adverse effects and metabolic imbalance. Therefore, there is a growing need for safe, natural, and multi-targeted therapeutic alternatives. The proposed invention comprises a specific combination of medicinal plant powders including Bauhinia variegata, Bacopa monnieri, Withania somnifera, Asparagus racemosus, Trachyspermum ammi, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Zingiber officinale, Aegle marmelos, Convolvulus pluricaulis, Andrographis paniculata, Trigonella foenum-graecum, Coriandrum sativum, and purified Commiphora mukul. These herbs were selected and combined in optimized ratios to achieve a synergistic endocrine-modulating effect. The formulation was prepared using pharmaceutically acceptable processing methods and converted into powder and capsule dosage forms. The main objective of the invention was to evaluate the adaptive regulatory effect of the formulation on thyroid function by supporting the hypothalamic- pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis, improving metabolic activity, and reducing inflammatory and autoimmune stress on the thyroid gland. The combined herbal constituents demonstrated a synergistic action in normalizing thyroid hormone imbalance rather than merely stimulating or suppressing hormone secretion. The resultant polyherbal composition exhibited broad-spectrum therapeutic potential in managing thyroid dysfunction by enhancing glandular health, metabolic balance, and neuroendocrine stability. The invention represents a novel, safe, and effective natural therapeutic approach for long-term management of thyroid disorders and provides a promising alternative to conventional synthetic hormone-based treatments.
