MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511020733 A) filed by Deepak Chander on March 07, 2025, for Title Of The Invention: Non Invasive Ventilation Mask System With Multi Use Drug Inhalation Ports.

Inventor includes Deepak Chander.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a noninvasive ventilation mask system with multi-use drug inhalation ports configured to enable efficient aerosolized drug delivery without disconnection of a ventilatory circuit. The system comprises a mask body (1) including a mask frame (7) and a mask cushion (8) adapted to form a substantially airtight seal with a patient’s face, a headgear assembly (2), a ventilator connection port (3), and a rotatable elbow assembly (4) defining an internal airflow passage. The elbow assembly (4) integrally incorporates a dedicated metered dose inhaler (MDI) port (5) and a nebulizer port (6), both configured to introduce aerosolized medication directly into the airflow passage while maintaining a substantially closed ventilatory circuit. The system may be configured in vented or non-vented modes for compatibility with single-limb or dual-limb ventilators. The integrated structure minimizes ventilation interruption, reduces infection risk, limits aerosol loss, and improves drug deposition efficiency. Fig.1
