Abstract: Provided is a throttle device that, even when a magnet is brought close thereto from the outside, is capable of inhibiting influence on magnetism of the magnet interlocking with a throttle grip, and that is also capable of reducing manufacturing costs for magnetic shielding. The throttle device comprises: an interlocking member (2) that interlocks with a throttle grip (G) and rotates; a rotation member (3) that rotates with a magnet (m); a magnetic sensor (5) that detects a magnetic change of the magnet (m) associated with a rotation of the rotation member (3) and detects the rotation angle of the rotation member (3); a case member (1) that rotatably holds the interlocking member (2) and the rotation member (3); and a magnetic shielding member (12) that is made of a magnetic material and is positioned around the magnet (m) and the magnetic sensor (5) so as to be capable of shielding magnetism from the outside. The magnetic shielding member (12) has: a cylindrical side part (12a) that is open at both ends and surrounds the sides of the magnet (m) and the magnetic sensor (5); and a plate-like bottom part (12b) that shuts at least one of the open ends of the side part (12a).
