MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133327 A) filed by Novus Composites Private Limited on December 30, 2025, for Thermoplastic Acrylic-Rosin-Titanate Resin Composition And Multifunctional Applications Thereof.

Inventors include Rajender Shanigarapu; and Ganesh Rao Junnoori.

The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a flowable thermoplastic resin composition comprising an acrylic base resin, 5–35 wt.% maleic-modified rosin Pentaester, a mono- alkoxy fatty-acid titanate ester, and a free-radical initiator . The maleic-modified rosin Pentaester functions as a tackifier and reactive co-constituent, while the titanate ester acts as a compatibiliser and chain extender. A flame-retardant embodiment further incorporates DOPO glycidyl methacrylate, providing halogen-free fire resistance and high cross-link density. The composition yields a reprocessable matrix suitable for manufacturing thermoformable fibre-reinforced composites, bendable glass-fibre-reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebars capable of retaining tensile strength after bending, and multifunctional anti-corrosive, insulating, or conductive coatings.
