Abstract: Abstract: The present invention relates to a fiber-reinforced composite structural system comprising geopolymer concrete (GPC) reinforced with Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer (BFRP) bars, designed to maintain structural integrity under elevated temperature conditions. The system includes a geopolymer matrix formulated from fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS), combined with alkaline activators and discrete basalt fibers for improved crack resistance. The invention addresses bond degradation between BFRP reinforcement and geopolymer concrete under thermal exposure by optimizing matrix composition and interface behavior. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that compressive strength retention, tensile resistance, and bond integrity are influenced by temperature-dependent microstructural and phase transformations. The invention provides a framework for designing thermally stable, corrosion-resistant structural systems suitable for fire-prone environments.
