Abstract: Abstract Thermal-Risk-Aware Adaptive Laser Cutting System for Intelligent Branch Pruning The present invention relates to a thermal-risk-aware adaptive laser cutting system for intelligent branch pruning and vegetation management. The system comprises a branch sensing module, a laser cutting module, a thermal monitoring module, a motorized positioning assembly, and a processing unit configured to predict branch combustion behaviour prior to and during cutting operations. The processing unit calculates a Branch Thermal Risk Index (BTRI) using branch thickness, moisture characteristics, density characteristics, thermal absorption properties, and environmental conditions. A Dynamic Laser Energy Optimization Engine utilizes the calculated BTRI to automatically determine and continuously modify laser power, pulse duration, beam focus, scanning speed, exposure duration, and cutting strategy. The system further generates a Cutting Difficulty Index and employs thermal feedback monitoring to prevent excessive charring, overheating, ignition, and collateral thermal damage. The invention provides improved cutting efficiency, reduced energy consumption, and superior cutting quality compared to conventional laser-based branch cutting systems.
