The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermal responsive public shelter ventilation regulator configured to automatically regulate ventilation openings according to changes in internal shelter temperature without requiring electrical power, sensors, or an electronic controller. The regulator comprises a plurality of louvre blades coupled to passive, self powered thermal actuator elements through proportional actuation linkages, wherein thermal deflection of each actuator produces proportional rotation of the corresponding louvre blade to continuously vary the ventilation opening. A synchronising tie-rod interconnects multiple louvre blades to provide coordinated movement across the ventilation bank. A field-adjustable preload mechanism enables adjustment of the response threshold, while a manually operable storm-lock lever secures the louvre blades in the closed position during severe weather conditions. The louvre blades further include an overlapping angled profile and mesh screen to restrict rain, debris, and insects while permitting airflow. The integrated mechanical arrangement provides reliable, proportional, power-independent ventilation for public and emergency shelters and remains operational during electrical power outages associated with severe weather events.
