Abstract: A therapeutic device (100) for treatment of anal fissures includes an outer housing (102) and an insertable probe (104) extending from the outer housing (102), the insertable probe (104) having a probe tip (106) at a distal end. A thermoelectric element (208) is thermally coupled to an outer surface of the insertable probe (104). A thermistor (310) is in thermal communication with the outer surface. An H-bridge driver circuit (308) carried by a printed circuit board assembly (210) is electrically coupled to the thermoelectric element (208). A pressure sensor array (204) is disposed peripherally on the insertable probe (104). A drug delivery channel (206) extends through the insertable probe (104) to a drug outlet (216) at the probe tip (106). The H-bridge driver circuit (308) reverses a polarity of electrical current to the thermoelectric element (208) to switch the outer surface between a heating configuration and a cooling configuration.
